The digital version had a few formatting/typo issues, however despite this, I rapidly devoured this book. Surprisingly, this was an enjoyable read with a lot heartfelt and funny moments throughout the story. The author’s writing easily transported into an alternate universe, the characters felt real, and I enjoyed the courtship between Galahad & Odette. The ending had me shook, and definitely made me want to get book 2 only to see where their story goes from there.
Moderate: Cursing
Minor: Death, Dementia, Death of parent, and Abandonment

After I surprisingly enjoyed the author’s other IR romance (Hathor and the Prince), this was recommended to me. This reminded me of UPN’s Half & Half and a touch of Cinderella due to the conniving stepmother (Yvonne) and duplicitous half-sister (Augusta) but with higher stakes. Odette’s crafty mother (Wilhemina) moonlights as her fairy godmother and sets up the arrangement with Prince Gale’s family. This is such a slow burn, but their chemistry is strong. I see now that the key to the author’s magic is a quickly smitten male suitor and from there everything flows. It ends on a cliffhanger.
Minor: Death, Infidelity, Dementia, and Death of parent
