This was an amazing story that had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. Kept me in my toes right up till the very end. I watched the movie years ago but didn’t remember much. It also should be mentioned that the narrator of the audiobook was absolutely phenomenal. I will definitely be seeking out more books he’s narrated just to hear him again.

I’d seen the movie a few years ago so I remembered a little bit about the twist but it was still so good. Lehane set it up so well and the writing style felt really immersive.

The scene where Teddy/Andrew remembers his wife murdering his children was so heartbreaking.

I really enjoyed this book!

The dialogue is well written and the characters are fleshed out well.  The story didn’t quite follow through what it was setting up, in my opinion.
