As much as Hudson and Jace were my favorite men, Brandon joined the ranks. I think this is by far my favorite of the Kingstons! Bella sure out did herself with Ashlyn and Brandon's story! 5 stars easy!!! But now imma need the next generations!!

Haven is the final book in the Defiant Kings series. Brandon and Ashlyn’s story was such a great second chance romance. Their chemistry could be felt through the pages. Tender and all consuming love that had me swooning often. The ending was a perfect way to wrap up this series!

I enjoyed the romantic dynamics of this story. Brandon and Ashlyn had great chemistry and you can feel the longing of what would be a one that got away trope and a second chance at what should have always been.
The more each of their past is reveal the more my heart broke. The action of this story and the depth at which it happened really threw me for a loop.
The only challenge I had is that this really can’t be a standalone as there is a lot of characters and their dynamic is already set based on previous books. Reading them before this one would have helped the beginning flow so much better. But it did make me very interested in going back and reading the previous books in the series and look forward to the Keeper coming out soon.

Damn, I'm sad, and not ready to move on from this series, I loved getting to know this big crazy family. I've wondered about Ashlyn ever since Under Pressure, I was not ready for her heart breaking beginning. Had me looking at their father a bit differently, and hurting for her and Brandon. If any two people deserved a second chance it was definitely these two. I loved the way Brandon was a protector and how he loved Lindy as his own. This last book had me laughing, crying, and everything in-between, the best part was that awesome epilogue to end it.

It was nice to round out the first generation with these two. The second chance romance is always a favorite trope.
