Jack Gregson and his cousins, David and Rosie, live in the old family Gregson Manor. The manor has a locked door and Jack, David, and Rosie have tried everything to open the door, including dynamite. When they discover a book in the library, they discover that there is much more to the manor and the Gregson name than they could’ve imagined. The book leads them to a magically concealed attic and garden. A woman living in the attic reveals that the Gregson family is in charge of defending a portal connecting earth to other worlds. When mist and wolves invade the garden, Jack, David, and Rosie embark on an adventure to thwart Theorden, the Horde, also known as Richard Gregson. Their grandmother sends them to meet with Anthrow, a guide through the portals and other worlds in order to find Theorden. Anthrow leads Jack, David and Rosie through portals and teaches them about the possibilities of magic. They are attacked by Theorden’s followers, among whom is the Shadow Man. The Shadow Man’s true identity is Maddix, Jack’s father who disappeared before Jack was born. With help from the book that started it all, Jack is able to trap the Shadow Man and Theorden on an abandoned wasteland of a planet.

Jack Gregson and the Forgotten Portal is a fast-paced adventure with excitement through every magic portal. It is a tale of the importance of family, how it builds your past and influences your future.

Peter Wilson’s debut middle-grade tale is a fantastic read for ages 10 and up….way up! I think most readers will enjoy the story of Jack Gregson and his travels through the portal with David and Rosie.

The Gregson Manor is practically a character itself. What teen wouldn’t love to be the heir to such a magical house?

The humor is sometimes subtle and many times laugh out loud funny.

Don’t take my word for it, grab a copy today and travel the world with this beloved trio.

You can read my interview with Peter Wilson and review of book two, Jack Gregson and the Stolen Sons on my website. Link in bio.

I received a copy of the book for the tour. This review is my honest, unbiased opinion.
