If there are Mount Rushmore of comic book creators, Tilly Walden would be up there next to Will Eisner. This book could be used as a textbook on how to make amazing comics. Walden's ability to use imagry to not only illustrate the story but you add to it to tell more of it, it is visual storytelling at its finest. While this book is about ice skating it's obviously not just about ice skating it's one of the deepest and heaviest books I have ever read.
Graphic: Bullying, Homophobia, and Sexism
Moderate: Sexual assault and Outing
Due to the time in which it takes place, any story involving a character coming out is going to be rife with homophobia. Well it is definitely a aspect of the story it is not the whole story.internationalreads's review against another edition
