Cate Quinn is a master at crafting a gripping, chilling tale that hooks you at the beginning and holds on until the end.  Black Widows was a riveting story that kept me engaged throughout.  I just could not figure out who the culprit was, even as layer after layer was revealed.  This story had some challenging themes, but the ending was pure joy and redemption. The audiobook was very well done and I was impressed by each of the three narrators and their ability to bring to life each of the varying characters.

I liked how the book ended but it was hard to get into at first as the 3 wives are all unlikeable.

Thoughts

I have had this book since it came out(2021) and I just now got to it. But I am glad I didn’t give up on it because I really enjoyed it.

It is about a polyamorous Mormon family. The husband was murdered and the police are interviewing the three wives and you get their perspectives.

Of course, they are the primary suspects and you learn why that would be.

It was interesting and kept me reading. I think it is worth the read if you are into domestic thrillers.
