I'm pretty sure this book was the one I enjoyed the most in the series!

Blythe was so damn adorable and... I don't know... GOOD.
AND KRIT! Oh, Krit. So fucking clueless. Love him.
They were just perfect for each other.
It's only missing the part where he tells her all about his past. I think it was kind of necessary for this story, but whatever. Still great.

Entertained me so much I had trouble putting it down.

I loved krit's character and Blythe's; I also loved this story... It just felt rushed. I wish it had been developed a little more. I felt like I was looking at the ocean but couldn't wade in any deeper than my waist. With the issues they both had, it felt too fast. The story with the dad felt only half told. Idk, it had so much more and deeper that wasn't expressed. I still loved it, but I'd rather wait a few months longer on the release and get what I know this author can write instead of banging the books out one after another and her not having time to dive deep with the character and drag us along with her.

Contemporary romance
Krit, bad boy, man-whore rocker in a band with multiple piercings. Blythe, virgin orphan, raised to think she is worthless and ugly, but apparently is incredibly hot--enough to turn a player into a faithful, one-woman man. Did I really just summarize the whole book in two sentences? Despite it's cliche plot, and unbelievable-ness, I really enjoyed the story. I thought it was a bit rushed and wrapped up too quickly, but I was sucked into it. Honestly not sure what to rate it, because parts of it made me cringe, but the author's style of writing makes you feel for the characters. And opposites attract, right?

YES!!!!! YES! YES! YES!
I absolutely loved this book, damn this time Abbi got it all right! I loved everything about this plot.
Krit was so cute at hot and awesome, damn I wish I had a rock star for myself.
And Blythe, poor girl what those people made of her life was horrible, how could they take a child and raise her like that? The pastor was her father damn it, what a bastard! And that wife of his, stupid people! Glad Krit came in to her life.
It was really cute to read about Krit being so sweet to her, before they were together he wanted to protect her and showed up at her house everyday to have dinner with her, that is so adorable.
We got to see more Trisha this time and she seemed awesome as hell.
Krit was a wonderful thing to Blythe's confidence, poor thing was really shy and didn't think much of herself due to those awful people. But she really loved Krit, she even jumped in front of him so that Green wouldn't hit him and she was the one who got hurt. And Krit was absolutely addicted to her, in a good way.
Damn I love their story without a doubt. Maybe I loved this one even more than Preston and Amanda, I don't know I love both so much.
I'm glad Krit didn't turn up to be a father to Brit's kid, that was a relief. But I can imagine him and Blythe having kids.
This was awesome really, completely shipping this couple now

Lmao honestly, all of Abbi Glines's Sea Breeze novels are pretty much the same: Hot girl, hot guy who is a slut but when he meets the hot girl he turns down his slutty nature to become an overprotective meat head. Regardless, I eat that shit up. Love you Abbi!!!

I enjoyed this book a lot more than I thought I would. On paper, this isn't my kind of story. Innocent, preacher's daughter, with an abusive background meets bad-boy, rock star who doesn't let his walls down for anyone. Every bit of this story has been done before, and all the attributes are some of the most clichéd storylines in the romance genre. However, I can't quite put my finger on what, but something was different, that I was pulled into this story.

The book opens and we get a glimpse of Blythe's childhood, where it was beaten into her head just how unwanted she was, with demeaning words and mean actions. Like I mentioned, this isn't anything new to read about; but it intrigued me for some reason and pulled me in. Blythe spent the whole novel being pretty naïve to everything in life, and constantly blaming herself for every action. Normally, I would find that too annoying to be worth reading. But this time I didn't hate it as much. Don't get me wrong, it bugged me, but more so for the fact that there was never a moment near/at the end where she had grown stronger. I would've liked to see her be able to stand more on her own two feet. And maybe she did make that transformation by the end, but all we saw, as readers, was her either too numb with heart-break, or too in love to care about anything that normally made her uncomfortable, and frankly that just doesn't count as real progress, those are just distractions.

Krit was your typical, man whore rock star. He had a bad past and it had left him feeling empty. That void in his soul was never filled until he met Blythe, and all of the sudden he is healed. The more I think about this issue, the more it bugs me, and I'm actually going to drop the rating to a 3.5 because of it. Not once did Krit and Blythe discuss his issues that have shaped his behavior and warped him. To be fair, when they are together, it would seem that he has no issues, so there wasn't much chance for them to come into conversation. However, this book is trying to sell their relationship to me and tell me that they are great together when it's actually an unhealthy relationship. They can't have a truly happily ever after until they are strong enough to stand on their own two feet without having the other one as a crutch, and I don't think Krit was ever at the point. He wasn't ever even strong enough to divulge his issues with the girl he claims is the love of his life.

Last complaint is about the ending. There was a big dramatic fight and issues from that fight ensued, until the lovebirds could meet and again and have all their troubles fly out the window. Then the book was pretty much over. There was no closure to Krit and Blythe's issues; which leaves me to presume that the author implies that the relationship magically cured their lives. If the finale could've been more developed, I would be a lot happier with their love story.

Was this book good? Defenitely not, the writing was weird and cringe sometimes. The storyline and plottwist were predictable. And the characters.. I'm not sure haha.

But was it entertaining? Yes. Did I finish this in almost one day? Yes. The book wasn't that good but it was entertaining and I needed that at the moment😭
