I really enjoyed this book! Sierra Simone’s prose is beautiful, and I loved the complexity of the MC. The only thing I wish this book had is either flashbacks or switching timelines so we could get more of the backstory of Aiden and Elijah’s love story. There were some but not enough for me to feel like I was really rooting for them. By the end I wasn’t really rooting for the couple as much as I was rooting for Aiden’s personal journey. I’d recommend this book if you’re wanting something spicy but beautifully-written with a complex and haunted MC.

This made my heart ache in such a special way 🥹😭

The tension, the longing, the angst, the growth. Sierra MF Simone, you’ve done it again!!! Aiden Bell is my favorite Bell brother, no doubts about it. Watching him struggle with his faith and mental health was so raw and inspiring. I feel broken wide open. But also… this book was so goddamn horny. I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO HAVE TO TAKE A COLD SHOWER SEVERAL TIMES FFS.

Impeccable. Spectacular. Phenomenal. This rivals Salt Kiss for my favorite. Don’t make me choose y’all because if it came down to it, I would yeet myself into the sun before coming to a decision ✋🏼

Just like priest I’d say it was respectfully written for the topic. Very personal to the characters plight and very believable . I guess for me it goes so deep into church history, both personal and otherwise that it becomes for someone else at that point. Like it’s written for Catholics. The author wants me to care about the very issue that’s causing so much pain for the character who she also wants me to care about. It’s effective if that pull is what the reader wants to feel, but this aspect, and the deep guilt that comes with it, is not for me. Sierra Simone does spice, and slow burn perfectly. I stay for those scenes. Cause I’m a lady. 🤣

Started off super boring and slow. Earned a few giggles. Not my fave of the series. I am proud of Aeiden for choosing to fight for his life tho...
I admire his dedication.
