DNF. If the only way you can describe characters is by sex appeal (only for the woman) or “black” and the plot is as lacking as this one, it’s not worth my time.

I wouldn't call this a *good* book, but it's plenty entertaining and introduces an intriguing theory about the true nature and history of Noah's Ark, while being a book that celebrates science rather than religion.  There's not a ton of nuance here; the villains are cartoonish, the romance between the leads is entirely perfunctory, and the end of the book has some choppy writing.  But there are also some genuinely exciting action scenes, and there's enough of a treasure hunt element to keep me reading.  This would be a good beach read or similar.

I love books that make you think, make you wonder "What if?". I'm a huge fan of James Rollins, and to find another author who writes similar books is such a treat.

1) Rating: 3 out of 5 stars (probably closer to 3.5)

2) Genre: Thriller

3) Synopsis: Noah's Ark has been lost to the world but has it been found again? Is it possible that the Ark will be needed again to save people from the end of the world?

4) Feelings: I am a sucker for a good thriller. I liked this book and the idea behind it. Bringing in a biblical artifact always adds some familiarity to the story. This book had plenty of action and puts its main characters in extreme danger.

5) Final recommendation: If you are a thriller fan this book is a fun read. Just what you expect from a good thriller. Can't say I really liked the main character but I did want him to win in the end. I am planning on getting the next book in the series. You should give it a try too.

Na naslovnici je navedeno da je napetije od Da Vincijevog koda, a sli?nost s istom je minimalna, pa ako se netko dvoumi upravo zbog toga sli?nosti, slobodno je uzmite jer se radnja lako prati i konstatno razvija
Ukratko: Arheolog pronalazi Noinu arku a njegov hm 'pomo?nik' Ulrich odlu?uje uzeti stvar u svoje ruke i kreirati Novi svijet po svojoj mjeri pomo?u smrtonosnog virusa.

I wanted to put this book down half way through. I kept thinking maybe something would actually surprise me, so I kept reading. For a book supposed to be full of action and twists, I sure wasn't ever left guessing. The writing was juvenile, I didn't connect with any of the characters, and I should have trusted my judgement and stopped reading it. It was a waste of time - don't bother.

This book is a wild and original take on the Bible's Noah's Ark story - at times too wild for me, but it still made for an interesting story. At times my interest waned, but it was always recaptured. I'll give The Ark 3 1/2 stars.
