Fast-paced and enjoyable. Didn't age too well. Would recommend it as a short read you can finish in an afternoon. The short stories Diamond guitar, and A Christmas memory at the end of the book were better, Enjoyed his prose.

The film is the fairytale and the book is real life. Instead of crying at the end because it’s so romantic and raining, you’ll cry because of the heartbreak from a very vulnerable young woman being continually used, abused, and left by men who ignore that she needs help dealing with her tragic past because they think her issues make her all the more attractive. Gorgeously written and I’m going to be upset thinking about this for days - surely a sign of literary greatness

I did enjoy 'Breakfast at Tiffany's', but in my opinion 'A Diamond Guitar' and 'A Christmas Memory' are so much more impactful, delightful, and charming. Holly's manic pixie dreamgirl antics are cute, but the raw emotion that emanates from 'A Christmas Memory' truly touched me in a way I wasn't expecting.
