Awful! Dawn French is a good actress and has been in many good productions. She should stick that that if this book is anything to go by as it’s not a collection of funny tales but a litany that comes across as inept and dull. I had high hopes for this book but couldn’t continue reading it, something which rarely happens.

the best way to consume this book is really to listen to it. hearing these stories told by dawn herself were hilarious. having spent many years where she grew up it was amazing to hear her stories from areas and places i knew locally, it allowed me to step that one bit closer in to her story. the stories weren't drawn out and were done in a way that you were laughing with her, not at her, and spanned across most of her life up to now. she has a great way of making fun of herself in a light, non-derogatory way, and there are some fantastic celebrity names popping up in the stories. thoroughly enjoyed, listened in the car and was howling with laughter almost the entire time.
