This is more of a collection of short stories than a straight novel, but it was fun and easy to follow. The ending didn't seem to fit and was off putting, but the rest was interesting to read and compare to all of the many film adaptations.

Robin Hood comes off as kiiind of a dick, but I will say I for sure cried at the end. Little John! He’s such a good friend! 😭😭😭

For a classic from 1883, this book stands the test of time pretty well—the content is generally non-offensive. Lighthearted and full of jest.
However, the book did feel slow to me (and it's a long one). I had a hard time really engaging with it. But, that being said, I think this was written for a mainly male audience as the plot revolves around the shenanigans of a group of men led by Robin Hood.
Decent. I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either. Still, for a classic, it's one of the better ones.
