This book wrecked myself in all the ways possible. Amir and Hassan. Hassan is a best and loyal friend anyone would wish for and Amir is the worst friend (in the beginning). Amir hurted Hassan with his words.

But I was glad because at the end, Amir chosed to find sohrab and protect him at all costs and adopt him.

 At the end of tbe story, I really forgiven Amir on his past actions towards Hassan. 

Soriya is the best wife. She welcomed Sohrab as her own son.

Sohrab is the best kid. I wished I could hug him and give him all the love he deserves and beyond. Anyways, Amir did that. I'm glad for that.

Sohrab was sexually abused by that fucking bastard Assef, the same man who raped Hassan when he was sohrab's age. And the same man who killed Hassan. I was so happy when Assef was attacked by Sohrab.

The mosr devastating part is the cruelties done by Taliban to Afghan people. It shooked ne while I was reading their actions towards the innocent people including children, men and women. No one deserves that kind of atrocities.
Overall, this book terrified me. This book was devastating, Heartbreaking and unforgettable. And I'm not going to reread this book again because it is as much devastating.

"for you a thousand times over" oml i have not cried this much in ages. the way the book starts with hassan saying it to amir n ends with amir saying it to sohrab 🥹 "there is a way to be good again" this book broke my heart in so many ways. hassans story broke my heart n my jaw dropped when i found out they were brothers 😦 like real blood brothers. sohrabs whole entire story hurt. it was like gut wrenchingly painful. his entire family was killed n the second i heard that the orphanage sold him i js knew. i knew but i still was not prepared at all. and the fact that the talib was assef. assef was so filthy. he raped hassan when hassan was only 12. and sohrab was a kid. a literal kid yet the talibs raped him multiple times. they claim to be muslim and do everything in the name of Allah (SWT) but it was so filthy. and amirs acceptance of islam was so well written.

khaled hosseini was he man you are 🙏 broke my heart right into two.

It isn't a bad book but it just isn't the type of book for me.

I personally think most realistic fiction books aren't entertaining. Sure a lot are well written I just don't think they are fun to read.

This book was one of them. It isn't a book I would've picked on my own. It was well written though so minus personal preference there is nothing wrong with it.


Also if anyone is like, "Why did they put it wasn't diverse?" A story where most characters are part of the same minority is just as not diverse as one where most characters are not part of a minority.
