Felt like quite a slow burn, there was a moment in which King perfectly caught the trauma a family could experience after losing a loved one... The characters felt quite well rounded and the build up to this creepy character he created with the shape-shifting Outsider was amazing. Definitely worth a read, although it can be a bit boring at times... The ending was perfectly long enough to be worth it but perfectly short enough to leave me begging for more

Now that's exactly what I expect from a Stephen King book.

Creepy, intense and freaking awesome.

It's only a 4 stars because it got too intense for me (I had to stop listening multiple times and got into a bit of a slump) plus I got major spoilers from the Finder's Keepers/Bill Hodges trilogy.

But let's face it, by the later half of the book I was so enthralled and on the edge of my seat that I LOVED it.

Side note, there was a super hilarious quote that stuck out to me. To give some context, a character is caught with his fly down and the woman says to him, "Who gave you a license to sell hotdogs." I literally cracked up to this longer than a mature person should have.
