Took me a little time to get into it but once I was in, I couldn't put the book down. I've never felt so much emotional range from a book before. There were times I was smiling, times I was laughing, times I was tense, times I was furious and times I was sobbing from both sadness and happiness. A beautiful story about found family and being resilient and true to yourself.
BTW Nan is the best and must be protected.

Honestly, i only read this because i don't have Netflix and wanted to know the story, and yes it's cliché and disney-esque in but sometimes, that's what you need as a member of the LGBT+ community.
All in all, it's not my normal taste in books, but even though the end was predictable, it kept me hooked (by that i mean i stayed up until 12 am on a school night reading this).
It's a feel-good, but also cry-your-eyes-out-if-you're-sensitive.

that in the end everything is good,Spoiler
I cried when Alyssa came out and her mom told her she loved her. Mind you, I have laughed at my favourite Supernatural characters dying. All in all, it's not my normal taste in books, but even though the end was predictable, it kept me hooked (by that i mean i stayed up until 12 am on a school night reading this).
