Honestly, the middle was so boring and could've been so condensed. Which is a little ridiculous considering how fast they moved all of the important bits. But that being said, this was an amazing conclusion to a very unique series. I still don't care for Scarlet and I really wanted to see Winter sane. It's definitely worth they hype but I still maintain that the best book was Cinder.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer meets Firefly meets Grimms’ Fairy Tales = one heck of a series! I alternated from laughing out loud to being on the edge of my seat! From the banter to battles, Winter was another great installment of the Lunar Chronicles! 4/5⭐️

800 pages of sweet pure bliss. A perfect send off for these characters. Everything I wanted and needed from the series for the ending. Once I started it I couldn't stop.

Granted its a long book- the longest I've ever read to date- but it seemed to fly by. Its hard to not get caught up in the plot, the banter.

Marissa Meyer you're an absolute legand.

Highly recommend.

It took me most the year to find the motivation to keep reading this book. The middle (around 30% to 80%) drags significantly, it did not need to be 800 pages. I'm pretty sure if you cut at least half of what happens there, the character development is the same and the plot is mostly unchanged.
For context, I read all the other books within a week each, and loved them all.
I'm glad I read to the end as it was good closure and (the end was) enjoyable, but I don't think it was worth the effort to get there.
