Plötzlich waren alle so „We are family“ und ich so „oh????“

DNF.

Made it about 80 pages in, hoping I’d finnnnnallllyyyy reach the introduction of the conflict. No dice though - literally nothing important or engaging has happened, and I have officially lost interest. I think it was the paragraph describing every flower in a bouquet one by one for literally no reason at all that did me in -_- The writing is only so-so anyways, not exactly flawless. So yep, I’m not ever intending on finishing this one.

“Am I swimming?”
“Well,” she says, her nose wrinkling. “You’re not drowning.”

I really like books with different takes on what happens after death. Since I read Under the Whispering Door a year ago I have been looking for something similar and was glad when I found it in this book. A romance that continues or begins after death.
I don’t have a lot to say overall since it’s a pretty normal love story in the beginning and not overly remarkable. But it’s a worthy read.
