Dark Step brother romance, a game of cat and mouse. Colton is obsessed with his ā€œstep sisterā€ since the moment he laid eyes on her. Heā€™s taught her how to be his personal pleasure toy. Raylee canā€™t find a man that tends to her needs like her ā€œstep brotherā€ but this time heā€™s gone to far releasing a sex tape. He wants to play a game she is determined to win.Ā

This book is base before the ritual, while it is a standalone it does connect to the lord world. As any book of Shantels is going to be dark and shocking. Thatā€™s what makes her books so good. It is spicy and full of kinks and triggers so make sure you read the trigger warnings. This book hits the dark spots, itā€™s a fast paced read and delicious. Itā€™s just what you need if you are missing the lord world.Ā

While this one wants my favourite, so it isnā€™t rated as high as the others. There isnā€™t much wrong with it though. Itā€™s spicy as hell, minimal plot. It is what it is and thatā€™s why you read it.Ā

definitely not as good as her other books in the universe and it had so much more potential though at the same time it was also shorter than the others.

Raylee is in the most toxic relationship imaginable with her stepbrother. They donā€™t have a love/hate relationship. Itā€™s all hate. He is cruel, abusive, manipulative, and violent. But itā€™s what she needs. It all read really well because there was still consent, but it is violent and graphic. I could have done without the rape (at someone elseā€™s hands) but it does help to redefine her relationship with Colt. Is it HEA? Only if the H stands for Hate.
