Beautiful illustrations, fine storytelling. I just like Linette better, but no one ever accused Arthurian legend of well-rounded characters.

It's a cute, typical little King Arthur story. Except the last bit, which mildly implies polygamy? Or maybe I just have a dark mind. 🤣 It's a good story though.

I know this is based on King Arthur stories but why does he end up with Linesse and not Linette. I remember this story from childhood and remember being disgruntled then too. But good pictures.

A nice little self-contained story of King Arthur's court with beautiful illustrations. It is well written and kept my 5 year old daughter's attention throughout.

These illustrations are every bit as beautiful as in [b:Saint George and the Dragon|10118|Saint George and the Dragon|Margaret Hodges|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1424464264s/10118.jpg|2042811], but this volume somehow lacks the magic. I am also not wild about the story of Sir Gareth for whatever reason, so that probably has something to do with it.

Great illustrations. A tale of a knight in Arthurian legend.

While I wasn't completely won over by the story, the illustrations are 100% beautiful. I think I will be seeking out more by books illustrated by Trina Schart Hyman.
