Marissa Meyer wrote such interesting characters in a grey world where people try to see everything in black and white. and i will say that it has been a while since the last time plot twists actually surprised me.
and with everything out in the open now, things get ugly and cruel and there were times i was holding my breath, expecting the worst.
it was truly a really nice trilogy, loved it.

the ending. i am so sad we never got to see an evie and nova reunion. also i didn't like how there wasn't much resolution with the squad and especially adrian and nova. however, i absolutely admire the grace and incredible forgiveness that adrian demonstrates to nova. that won me over. i still am not super invested into their romance, but they are pretty cool characters. i thought it could use more work fleshing out the good vs evil conflict and the issue of moral ambiguity. i also didn't fully understand the whole supernova star thing - i felt that could've been talked about more. the deaths saddened me tho, but mostly callum 🥹 he was the most wholesome renegade everGraphic: Injury/Injury detail, Death, and Torture

It’s been a while since I read Renegades and Archenemies, but it was easy to fall back into the superheroes world. I’ve always been a fan of those stories, and Marissa Meyer wrote this one brilliantly. The story kept surprising me.
It’s not perfect, and it relies a little too much on romance as “stronger than anything else”, but it was very entertaining. I’m glad I finally finished this trilogy. Kinda wish there was a spin-off following that epilogue though 😅
