this book in my point of view was abt helping someone who couldnt help herself!! Jeff help Ellen get her life back but Ellen at the end felt like she was trapped all over again because Jess became all controlling and stuffs... I like the fact that this wasnt like any other books... The main character didnt fall in love her and ended living happily ever after... Compassion and Power are the two themes in my opinion... Jeff wanted to help her but then he realized she will do anything he asks her too so he felt like he had some sort of power over her... I'm glad she saw it and decided to move on her own,,, I still think the book would have been better if it was written in Ellen de Luca perspective!!!

The descriptions in this book were just so cruel. And I really don't get the ending, the characters were so unlovable and listening to jeff rant was exhausting.

Yes because it totally works like this. Bad guy hates good girl then realizes he actually likes good girl so bad guy goes to try and not be bad for once in his life and turns to a good guy in the end... the book is just as confusing as it sounds. Awful, awful, awful.

I guess i liked this book... It was interesting but I didn't like any of the characters. Oh well... It gave me a good look at obsessive relationships.

Been awhile since I read this book but I liked it. Very quick read. The premise was interesting but kind of sad. I actually really liked the ending of the book the best.

This book explored some complex issues--body image, obesity, identity and control as well as family dynamics. I liked how the author handled these difficult topics and the storyline was easy to follow. I'd be interested to hear what the target audience (teens, YA) think of the book. Overall, it would be a good addition to a classroom library for upper middle school or maybe even struggling high school readers.
