Killers of a Certain Age is a mystery/action novel about four older women who were assassins' in their youth, but it seems the tables have turned. They have to protect themselves, and get to the root of why they're being targeted.
I was hesitant to read this, as I have tried two Veronica Speedwell books by this author, and I was not a fan. But, I decided to give her one more chance, and I am glad. This definitely had some hang ups, and a few eye rolling moments, but overall, I enjoyed it. A fun, fast, and amusing romp. Plus, New Orleans! You can tell Raybourn is a fan with the way she describes it. You can definitely tell who the main character is, even if it's kind of set up to be an ensemble style mystery book. It doesn't have the polish and love that say, Thursday Murder Club has.. but it's worth a read.

I really enjoyed the beginning, but as the book went on I started to lose interest and I wasn’t as drawn in as I initially was

Enjoyable and different book. Loved the capable women and the adventure. A little time switching but it didn’t bother me as it helped tell the backstory.
