Cute but a little disjointed. The Avengers, being a new team, are easily divided to distrust each other in a scheme conceived by a rather boring version of Loki in a distant planet. Iron Man begins suspecting Thor of being part of an Alien race, Captain America is suspicious Iron Man is behind a naughty scheme, and Thor is suspicious of Captain America's suspicious resurrection. Surprisingly it's Hulk who has some common sense, although is dialogue felt off. And, sorry to say to Goodreads Hulk Jeff, but Thor basically beat two Hulks at once in a fight of sorts.
The personalities were close to what I'm used to, although Iron Man wasn't funny, Hulk was a little too intelligent with beefed up dialogue, and Thor's strange way of talking may have been authentic but it grew old after awhile. Captain America got the best treatment. It's faithful enough to who he is, but digs into the deeper psych of waking up when he did.
The story isn't bad but it's just average. The artwork is the same.

I've been getting into graphic novels lately, but I thought I'd try out a marvel comic as I rewatched Age of Ultron this week so I've been in the mood for some Avengers action.
This one didn't have a Wow-factor to it, but it was still good!
I really appreciated the art style! I felt like it was a bit choppy and didn't make sense to me at first, but I eventually got used to it.
Overall, it was satisfactory, but I'm still left wanting more.

This was fine. Nothing particularly noteworthy either way. It deviated from the Season One style by not being an origin story. I've never read an Avengers origin so I think I would have preferred that.

This was just pretty ridiculous. One of those Avengers books where no one really felt in character. I know it exists primarily to try to get people interested in the comics leaving the theater from the first Avengers film. And I know that mostly because Janet van Dyne was nowhere to be found. This is just Thor, Hulk, Cap and Iron Man. And each other characters feels like a watered down version of their MCU counterparts. Once again, I have a hard time reading an Avengers book when Iron Man is really out of character. This is especially odd because I swear Peter David wrote the Iron Man novelization and that book was fantastic. So... I'm confused.
So, don't read this. This isn't really anything. It has nothing to do with the Avengers 616 origin and no one's really in character. You gain nothing by reading this.

This didn't do it for me. This felt more like a retread than a retelling. The art was underwhelming and I didn't get enough from these iconic characters to really care.

I have to say that the references to which issues the story references is a cool idea. Overall, this ends as a fun read, but I don’t imagine I’ll come back to it again.
