It was a light hearted, fast-paced read, but otherwise completely forgettable.

I loved this book. It might be one of my new favorites of Clare. We really get to see their relationship in this a lot more then we have previously and I loved their dynamic. I liked seeing it from both Magnus and Alec’s perspective as well.

I love Magnus and Alec and this book is filled with cute, sweet moments between them. I really liked being inside Alec's head, seeing him trying to navigate this new relationship between them. To see him and Magnus' insecurities and just their love for each other just made me love them more then I already did. These scenes just gave me the warm and fuzzies.

The plot felt a bit like a side quest to me. It was a bit of a weird storyline, and i was more focused on the characters and their relationships than the whole adventure part of the story. I guessed the plot twist pretty early on, the plot had a bit of a weird flow to it and the writing also made it a bit difficult to read for some reason. It was fun to see a few characters pop up. I really enjoyed Helen and Aline's story line. Also, Rafael seeing a different side to him was cute.

Anyway, I would recommend this book if you like Magnus and Alec. Just don't expect a plot that will blow you away, just focus on the two guys and you will have a good time.

Rating: 3,5 stars.
