Overall it was a decent read. There were parts in it that made me laugh and I learned what a "paper town" is. That being said, I still believe A Fault In Our Stars is a superior novel.

Overall the book was very good. My favorite part was the mystery aspect of it. Although the ending was kind of disappointing, I would still recommend this to anyone.

Thanks to this book I can know another phase of me, because I read this thing almost dozing, I do not like that the author is so unoriginal as to almost not change the personality of the characters in different books, I get a point I did not know if I was reading paper towns or looking for Alaska. With mediocre philosophy Green could make this a Best Seller, which disappointing

The one thing about John green that I noticed is that he hates love. He just cant see his readers happy. Like every other john green read till now (three ) it ended tragically but this book was different this book has this kind of satisfying ending about which I was mad about but still understood. I read this book before my last board exam. I could have waited till the exams but I saw the movie trailer one day prior and all I could think about was the book so all and all it was not my fault. I didn't WANT to read this book but HAD to. This book made me reflect on my own life and thinking of how much I could relate to Q and of how much I myself want to have the fun. When he and margo went around the city this made me also want to do that too but then I remember I am a scardy cat and would have backed out after the first task. And the moat part literally would have killed me. And when he had the spontaneous road trip with his friend that was probably one of the funniest moments of the entire book. In the end the book didn't had the ending that I would have wanted for it I did understood why it ended this way. Although I was disappointed I was happy too.

Can I just say that I'm happy to be in a world where John Green is writing books. It is his writing style and his characterizations that just make me happy to be reading one of his books. Now. I'm writing this book totally doped up on pain killers so it might make totally no sense lol

But as a whole I enjoyed this story. I wasn't sure about alot of the characters, then Radar made a good point about each and every one of them, and why they like one another despite their short comings and it was a true testament to what friendship should really be. It's funny, because my daughter was going through and issue with a really good friend, and the girl put 'conditions' on their friendship. Being that she's only 10 years old I have to give her tools to totally end that friendship and I was proud that my daughter did. I believe that this girl would've destroyed my daughter's self esteem while her parents just sat back and laughed and claimed the girl didn't know what she was doing, while talking about how mature and clever she was with manipulating them.

This story showed true friendship. That there isn't conditions, you are just there for one another, no matter what or how one another are acting. I can't wait for my daughter to be old enough to really read these and get these stories and show her there was nothing wrong with letting that friendship go. I can tell she's mourning it but she also, like I said, found new friends in the process that still enjoy the things she does. The whole journey for me was about just that, friendship, and life, and growing apart. Thank you John Green for another fantastic book.

*I read a copy of this book via Los Angeles County Library*

"Leaving feels good and pure only when you leave something important, something that mattered to you. Pulling life out by the roots. But you can't do that until your life has grown roots."

John Green has done it again. The novel started out slowly for me, but it picked up the pace about 20 pages in. It's a story of adventure and love and acceptance, but most of all, it's a story about friendship. I wish I had read this book during my senior year of high school.
