This book took me on a whole whirlwind of emotions! I am heartbroken, sobbing into a cup of tea at the dinner table wondering why life can be so messed up. I adore this book, it is one I will definitely be reading again as soon as I can get around the emotions I am currently feeing. The plot is sensational, and Jenny has written in such a manner where you can feel nothing but ease within her words. Even if the topics may not be as easy. She is a compelling writer and the links are sensational! Just read it.

This was a pleasant surprise. I felt at the start that I might get bored - meeting Edwina and following her through her house and her memories was interesting for a hundred or so pages but I did think it would grow stale, so the change in POV was at the perfect point for me and kept it interesting. I had a feeling I knew what was coming at the climax of the story, so it wasn't a surprise but it was still achingly sad as I became very invested in the characters. So much of this novel is sad and the characters are very tragic, not the light-hearted romp I expected from this author at all but definitely an engrossing read.

A well thought out tale of broken families, blended families, addiction, grief, lies and love

Thus book is from 3 different characters perspective.   1st is Edwina and I wasn't enjoying the story.  I found it to be confusing and vague.  Fortunately we moved onto Fern and then I began to start enjoying it.  I began to see how the characters lives were entwined and the story began to move forward.  The last character, Lucas, I was not expecting to like but it was bittersweet and drew the story to a beautiful close.
