No pasa nada.

a bit too far on the end of plot driven vs character driven, this seems to beg for a sequel but it seems there wont be for at least 2 years

I think this is my favourite Sanderson book! I can't wait for the sequel even if it's a long way down the road.

Read this as a teenager in two sittings and LOVED it. But now I tried for a reread and the writing is unbearably dull.

I’m a drab now. My breath has been taken away by this book. (Wow so clever hahahaha)

Anyways, this book was so so good. First of all, Brandon Sanderson books usually take me a little longer to read than most books, but warbreaker was an outlier. I could not put this book down. Everything about this book was so captivating and alluring, I couldn’t look away.

Let me start with thoughts on characters. AHHHH. THE CHARACTERS IN THIS STORY WERE WRITTEN SO WELL! Don’t get me wrong, from the other books I’ve read by Sanderson, I already know he is a great writer and can write some great characters. But the characters in this book (especially Siri) we’re just so lovable and relatable? (I don’t know if that is the right word). I loved Siri. At first, I thought that she would maybe be a bit annoying, but boy was I wrong. She turned out to be one of the my favorite characters. She was clever and kind and always kept an unwavering sense of joy around her. And then there is Seb, I LOVE HIM TOO!! His gentleness and his innocence when you were expecting some mean aloof tyrant god was such a nice turn of events. And the way that Siri and Seb fell in love!!! THEIR CHEMISTRY!!!! I also liked Vivianna (even though she DID annoy me) and Vasher was a pretty cool dude too. I will admit I was not as invested in their part of the story as I was in Siri’s but it was all still amazing. Also, the betrayal of the mercenaries stung because they actually seemed like good people. Friends. Finally, LIGHTSONG!!! Best for last! But seriously, something about lightsong’s character just made me really happy. Even though he liked to say he was lazy and didn’t care and stuff, he was a good man and one of the most caring characters in the book. I’m still sad he died, but he found his purpose.

Anyways, the plot was also 10/10 and this book overall was just so cool!!! I need Brandon Sanderson to write a sequel. Please.
