This book was amazing!
Celaena Sardothien aka Aelin Ashryver Galathynius. Embarks on her journey to Wendylnn her distant relatives to kill the king and his son. Minor Spoiler:
While meanwhile Choal and Dorian, continue on without Celaena after the events of COM. We are introduced to some new characters and some of them have connections to Terrasen. Such as Alein's cousin Aedion, and at least two others.
While Dorian's part in the story is mostly in the castle, and introduces a new side charcter. That has been in the past books.
Also, Choal might be the most indecisive charcter EVER.
Then we are introduced to the witches of Blackbeak and the three other covans. Manon Blackbeak and her thirteen, and how they will impact the story. Minor spoiler:
Overall, lots of characters/ world building are added into this book, and LOTS of character growth expecilly with Alein. We get a lot of her past, and what happened prior before her ten years as Celaena Sardothien.

This is the third book of the series, but promises a beginning that I am dying to follow! This book is a hard read and many who have endured trauma will find themselves more in Celeana's shoes than they might ever want to admit. You will find her back at the beginning of the hero's journey, at her lowest and most defeated, rising from the ashes once more in a way so natural, you forgot this is a fantasy. Brace for impact, get lost in the words, and hold on tight for the ride to come!

Read at your own risk!!
Wow!!! What an crazy, twisting ride this was!!!! I absolutely loved this one! I felt like it started out slow and to be honest, I did NOT like Rowan in the beginning. The witch story seemed to start out a little slow, but I knew the details were building up to something good! I'm also blown away about the towers and their connection and how it ties in to magic disappearing! And when Dorian revealed his magic to the king, I nearly threw the book because I thought for sure the King was going to kill him!!! I cried over Sorscha's death!! Like why...😪🤧😠I was loving the whole forbidden love side story. And of course she died... Oh man, when I say I was a mess...ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ªðŸ¤§ I felt like she was a good healer, not only for his body but also good for helping him heal his soul after all he's been dealing with!!!😠Loved almost learning more about Celaena's background and family... I was hit with all the feelings... And to watch her start to slowly accept her true self and to become bolder, oh MAN! Emrys and Luca were also fantastic characters! I enjoyed the history and enjoyed even more watching Celaena bravely face her crazy, psychopath Aunt! And what she did for Rowan and how they bonded slowly over time was enjoyable. It was comical how they went from hating each other to slowly bonding and growing closer!! At first, it seemed like he was inclined to hate her and not help her in the slightest! But they both change and evolve so much! Given that they've both been through hell, they complement each other and help each other grow very well.
Such a fantastic read!!
