This small book made me laugh and cry. Humanity laid bare on a public typewriter in a bookshop. A most enjoyable read - both Gustafson's brief essays and the type written messages left behind.

Super cute, super nice, super fast read!

I loved the tiny stories that went along with the actual notes. As a person who lives in Ann Arbor and walks right by Literati on her way to work every day, this was very cool to see what could have been me if I had typed on that typewriter.

The wall is very beautiful to see in person and Literati is a must-visit if you're in Ann Arbor!!

This turned out to be great, and I did not see it coming.

It's so warm and 'A-Love-Letter-to-Books'-y even on Audio, which isn't something I thought these types of books could do.

(I'll be back with loads of quotes later)

Lovely is the word that keeps coming to mind. You know when you see clichéd reviews "I laughed, I cried"? Well, I did both. Short and sweet. This is a book you can gift anyone who likes books. Or has a heart. I've already recommended it to others.

“I lock the door. I turn out the lights. I check every corner, stairwell, closet, and bathroom. I say goodnight to the books.”

My favorites:

More often than not,
The answer is a disappointing, “No.”
