This first installment of The Lady Worthing Mysteries was a delight to read. I love a murder mystery, and Murder in Westminster had everything I needed in the story and more!
Lady Worthing is a smart and witty woman. Every time the mischievous Teacup was mentioned, it put a smile on my face. Trying to solve cases is not an easy task (especially one that's been commited in your own backyard), but Lady Worthing has the smarts and reliable people to do so. The loyalty that she had in her household was just perfect. I love the courage of Lady Worthing helping the abolition movement, and I can't wait to see what she has been able to achieve in her next story. Helping solve cases and fighting for what's right.

Couldn't stand the choppy style in the prologue, so I'm giving up on this one. (It was the paragraph made up of the single sentence "She did Mr. Dillard." that marked the beginning of the end for me, and yes, that was in the biblical sense!)

"My youth shouldn't be spent waiting for love."

Murder in Westminister was a wonderful cozy murder mystery. I had been sent a copy from the publisher, and I didn't realize it was part of a series, so there were definitely moments where I felt like I was missing parts of the story. I love the slow-burn romance, enemies to lovers, between the neighbors and I hope that plays out more.

Never trust a man to do right by you.

I give this book 3.5 stars. It was really well written and interesting. The story was a little slow for me personally but had some really good parts.

I would like to thank the publisher and author for an arc of this book. I really enjoyed reading it.
