I haven’t read the first of the series, but this works well as a standalone anyway.

This book is about a moose who came for a visit to eat some muffins but when they run out they need to go to the store to get more ingredients. This book is full of laughs and fantasy. This is a great book to read to your class when you want to read a book about fantasy.

Better than the earlier versions from what I recall. Better artwork. More original ideas. Better story. And the Moose is oh so friendly. Not even particularly repetitive.

I like the story in If You Give a Mouse a Cookie much better, but I prefer the cozy illustrations in this book. And as always, circular stories are just fun to read with kids.
