Stalking plays a major part in Maxu's "wooing." Some people enjoy that in a book, but obviously it's not everyone's jam, but there isn't a single one of the mfc's friends who's like "Nah, that's creepy. Red flags."
Aside from that, the book is good and the series gets closer to a climax, hinting that the next book will be a lot more than interesting alien cities, people, and a love story.

Graphic: Confinement, Sexual content, and Stalking

So. This book was full of world building (descriptions of Everything), a change of scenery (to what felt like a whole different world and not a new city) and more stuff i didn't like. I guess this is the sci-fi fantasy part of the series. It did not help that i read maladeks book right before this and loved it, so this fell entirely too flat.
Here's what I liked about Maxus book: maxi recognized meg as his mate the very first time he sees/ smells her, and his marks appear then too. That i was missing in most of the other books in the series. But. That was possibly about it. The rest didn't really work for me. (Except for some romantic scenes and lines...)
