I'm a casual Sherlock Holmes fan. I've read some of the stories, seen some of the TV and movie adaptations. Dr. Watson is often the more interesting part to me, however he's interpreted.

I loved this version of Watson, alone now after the death of Holmes and trying to find his way through his grief. He's haunted (maybe literally, maybe figuratively--it's interestingly ambiguous) by the ghost of Holmes, and finds that a little adventure and mystery brings him back to himself.

It felt very true to the heart of other Sherlock and Watson adventures without being derivative. The story leapt off the page with life and spark and it was hard to stop reading to do things like earning a living.

Definitely recommended for people who love Holmes and Watson in any form, or just people who like a good paranormal adventure.
