I just wish there was more story and more development. I feel sorry for them but I didn’t really care. Also didn’t care for the art style

i‘m a girl of many words, but i guess graphic memoirs are special and say too much without written words.

I read this in one sitting, which isn't much of a feat because there's just not that many words in it. That's not a knock against the book. It's nice to have time to look at the pictures -- the author is talented in drawing facial expressions.

To say it's sad is an understatement. Reading Stitches gave me the same feeling I get when waking up from a depressing dream.

A sad book with mostly pictures. Details the author's disfunctional family and confused childhood. Disturbing but fascinating.
