Part of me doesn't particularly want to write up this review because I've never found a single fault with any other book by this author and yet this book really hit me the wrong way. It makes me sad since I went into it expecting to absolutely love it from start to finish.

I'll keep it super short and simple: This book left me with the ick. I don't like reading stories that revolve around infidelity and every moment of this one was related to that topic. Sure, there were parts that made me laugh aloud, but for the most part, I was uncomfortable as I delved into the lives of these characters. I walked away from it feeling despondent and sensitive - not the emotions I anticipated or desired.

It's irreverent and awkward and there were a few plot holes thrown in as well. Definitely not one I would pick up again.

I normally like Abbi Waxman books but this one did not hit for me at all. I couldn't connect with any of the chracters honestly I don't think I even liked any of the chracters. It was a large ensamble cast focusing on a group of married couples, their families and their various struggles in life. It felt as if this book dragged on forever and then just abruptly ended, and somehow without any development everything was wrapped up neatly with a bow. I definitley reccomend skipping this book and picking up something else by Waxman
