This was super engaging and I did really enjoy most of it, but the pacing felt off at the end and there wasn't enough time to, at least for me, forgive all of the third act drama. Definitely still an overall positive read, it just didn't necessarily stick the landing.

Listened to this as an audio book while at work and it was really good. I love Nic Stone's writing and the work she does in general (among other things hosting Debut Who Instagram live-streams for debut authors who weren't able to have any book tours because of Covid-19) and this book didn't disappoint. It reflects on the theme of money/wealth and what it means to have it and what it means to not have any.

Amazing. Well written. Nic really captures the readers attention. Chapters are easy to identify with.

Nic Stone has not disappointed me yet. This book was clearly a commentary on money and privilege and how the way that is distributed isn’t always fair. But it’s also about love—all kinds of love—and about how perception and reality are often different. It’s worth a read.
