I fell in love with Carey and Rowan's characters. I actually loved how they went to high school together, but never really talked to one another. Then, in college, Carey needed help with accounting and fell for Rowan. Of course, there were challenges, but they were super cute together. I enjoyed the writing style and plot of the book.
Loved
I absolutely loved this book great quick read. I loved reading about the kids and their stories. So excited for the rest of books in the series. #camsdoll

3.5 Stars. I was not a big fan of Carey at first, a lot of things he said and the way he carried himself rubbed me the wrong way. However, I like how the author developed his character throughout the story and how his interaction with Rowan helped him grow/learn. For such a short story it was definitely a slow burn and not a lot of spice. Also, the hot tub scene was so cute!!
DNF’d @ 70%. This book was such a disappointment considering how much I loved Hail Mary. I’m actually thankful I didn’t read this first because Spider is a total douche canoe in this one. I had a hard time believing in a week Carey would be in love with a chick he hasn’t seen since he ruined her life in high school. Ridiculous book.
Rowan is struggling to make ends meet; going to school and working three jobs she doesn't have time to have a social life. She has goals and aspirations and living that college life isn't part of that. When one of her jobs is to tutor one of the football players it is just another way to make money for her until she comes face to face with Carey. Carey the king of her high school who she thought she would never see again.
This was my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it. It was clear that Carey's parents had a book but I didn't feel like I was missing anything by not reading that series first. I loved how much story was in this one for being a novella. I also really loved that since it was a novella there wasn't much room for long drawn out drama for drama's sake. I think Carey and Rowen's story was perfect.

The perfect lead in to what I am sure is going to be another amazing series
I loved Rowan and Carey so much! I love how flawed Carey is and yet Rowan is able to see the good in him. I love that he knows he flawed and knows he needs to be a better person for her and steps up. Such a sweet and steamy read.

One of THE best ebook prezzy ever!
Oh my god Carey Slade is amazeballs and Rowan is just epic. They vibe off each so well it’s not even funny. There’s a reason Rowan shouldn’t have lent him her pencil. But she never knew he was the cause of her life diversion.
This was short and sweet and can’t WAIT to see the gang again

I really enjoyed this book, and it made me remember how much I liked this series. Even though this was a quick read, I felt like it was fleshed out well, I didn’t feel like it was rushed or missing anything. I enjoyed the cameo from Raven and Jonah, but appreciated that the author didn’t rehash their story. I’m not usually a fan of the next generation books, but I think because we didn’t see Carey grow up and his parent s were only there briefly it didn’t feel like it was a next gen.
And now I’m off for a reread of the series.
