This book was written in 1932 and thus anyone that sees a binary uptopia/dystopia as a way of life still can chuck themselves in the bin.

Even HUXELY HIMSELF said there should be a third perspective, at least....like...common my dudes let this story be a cautionary tale, rather than proficy, already!!!

Anyway...yeah baby....it's a classic.....I think this how the people who made and sold oxy saw the world. Education system let me down by not making me read this as a child. Tsk tsk.

Am I the only person who thinks this book is a bit... silly? And that everyone takes it a bit too seriously? Not that I'm saying that the genetics issues aren't serious, just that there's so many plot contrivances in this whole thing (everything, EVERYTHING in it happens through happy coincidence) and the visual style of the future is described like the Jetsons... what with journalists with spinning radar dishes on their heads.

I dunno, I just don't think it's half as dark or clever as people make out. It reads more like a comedy. Maybe people think this is seriously well thought out sci-fi because the people reading it don't generally read sci-fi?
