A powerful memoir and insightful context to George Takei’s work.

In case this is helpful for anyone else with visual processing disorders or dyslexia: I found the font hard to read (it’s all caps and small), but the illustrations are monochrome so I could use my tinted overlay to help me read it.

Made me cry. Somehow an incredibly patriotic book despite depicting one of the great shames of the U.S. Very well done. Would be 5 stars but it jumped around a bit and the transitions didn't always feel smooth.

Important. Informative and beautifully illustrated. Haunting in an unfortunately necessary way.
