The most satisfying vampire story I’ve read in years.

This was a fun, fast paced read. I live less than an hour's drive from West Virginia so the setting and the characters really resonated with me. Keene's take on the vampire mythos is great and I'd totally read more.

I stumbled upon this book looking for new horror novels to read that was something different. This was my first book by Brian Keene and it definitely won’t be my last. I loved that it kind of felt like a Creepypasta or Reddit No Sleep story. This was exactly what I needed. It wasn’t scary but creepy and made me think about things that could be put there. Also being a small town southern girl it had a lot of elements that reminded me of the place I grew up. A place where most people are poor and those desperate turn to drugs and illegal activities to make money and survive. Can’t wait to read more from Keene.

A fast-paced, no-nonsense page turner. Goes from dour rural elegy to a blood-soaked vampire hoedown in no time whatsoever. The trials and tribulations of working class West Virginia collide head on with vicious, feral vampires and there's no breathing room whatsoever. Don't get too attached to any one particular character. Just enjoy this head-ripping, bloodsucking, ankle-biting blast of a novella while it lasts.

A fun very fast paced novella about vampires. While hunting for the perfect hideaway for a get rich quick scheme a family of male cousins encounter a very small cave opening they will pretty quickly wish they'd never left their houses nevermind the edge of the cave mouth.

A very fun, quick reading vampire book. Pretty action packed. The kindle version also includes two cool short vampire stories, both of which I enjoyed.
