i’m never gonna be the one to say you can’t have cops, but damn this was enticing. UNTIL the second half, where i went back to my cop-hating self because they’re dumb. first half is much more compelling but the epilogue ties everything up well so whatevs

The first 2/3 was really good, but the last third was preposterous. There were two interesting storylines going on, but the way they were tied together was unrealistic. Perhaps this should have been two separate books.
