Witty, ascerbic, relevant, punchy, brilliant. As fresh and cutting, visceral and vibrant as John Cooper Clarke ever was. Just try reading the poems in any voice than his Mancunian lilt.

Not really my cup of tea.
Oh how I wished it would be good,

Great poetry boosted by Cooper Clarke himself

Pity the plight of young fellows is my favourite and I read it three times. It's hard not to do a poor imitation of John Cooper-Clarke's accent when reading these aloud. I need the audio book for sure.
