Every book I’ve ever given 5⭐️‘s to will never compare to this!!

While I didn’t relate to the female main character as much as I would normally like, the representation within this book was extremely important. It shifted my perspective on love. Mainly, it provided a voice to show that even though we experience situations differently those experiences are not any less meaningful.

Seriously cannot recommend this enough… onto the next book in the series!

(Apr 25/22) Loved it even more the second time around :)

Okay sooo Iam not sure if i read this book at the wrong time as Iam in a book slum however it was a let down

I loved the story but I just couldn’t get hooked and pushed myself to read it for over a week !!

I really like the fact that the FMC was the bread maker and the autism rep and eveything was honestly such a good read
And I loved how Michael instantly felt protective and cared about her so much
And reading them falling for eachother was eveything

Even tho I wanted to slam their heads together at the end when they both kept thinking the other didn’t love them and was still only in it for the deal/contract

But I just felt it was a let down and over hyped
Was a good read to pass time but I wasn’t Inlove or hooked
And the smut was good !! Not to much not to little
Kind of how I prefer it actually
But wasn’t enough aha

Meh I donno I kind of am just underwhelmed by it all

Fast paced, easy read. Think reverse pretty woman. Vietnamese and autism rep.
It was cute. That’s kinda all I have to say about it tho

Loved this book! Especially how the relationship developed between Stella and Michael!

Literally everybody but them could see how perfect they were together. Their own issues got in the way. Michael was so kind and considerate even before he knew Stella was Autistic. He made her feel relaxed.
It was great to watch Stella come out of her shell.

I'll be looking out for more Helen Hoang books.

So sweet! There are the typical frustrations that come with the fake dating trope, but overall low drama/angst.

RE-READ. this book is so freaking cute while also having such great spice and great representation of female autism. i adored michael larsen. he was thoughtful, patient, talented, and sexy. both characters are dealing with deep insecurities so theres some miscommunication and they end their arrangement. when they reconcile he warns her that he will be proposing in 3 months. why does he do that? because she hates surprises and he wanted to give her time to warm up to the idea! i loved it!

michael: will you have dinner with me tonight?
stella: no.
michael: good. i like a challenge.
stella: im not trying to challenge you.
michael: i know youre not. youre trying to get over me which is worse.
stella: michael...
michael: i have stuff to do. talk to you later. miss you.

Yuck, this was not for me. First off, too much sexy time for my taste. Also, didn't find the writing of the sexy time particularly well done, which makes it worse. (Pet peeve - when a woman's parts are referred to as 'her sex' during sexy time). Appreciate the autism representation, I really do. But the tone felt off to me. Didn't like the idea that, as another reviewer put it, she could be 'f*@ed out of her symptoms'. Would have liked some more background on the main character and her parents as well. I can see how people, especially those who are into romance, might enjoy this one but it was NOT for me.
