Finished by a force of will.
Points for researching & resurrecting the margins of Vergil but otherwise, meh.

As gentle a view of the Aeneid as I think you'll find. There's something magical about the way Ms. Le Guin writes and I enjoyed that aspect of Lavinia as much as I enjoyed that aspect of Always Coming Home. No Le Guin fan is complete without reading this book.

Struggled to keep momentum and purpose in the narrative.

Not feeling it and the writing is lyrical, which isn't something I generally enjoy. Plus, the multiple times at the same time is confusing me...
