I'm sad that it's over... it's been fun.

The last volume still left a few loose ends untied. For example: is nothing going to happen to the Beastar? What's up with the fish meat? Why did Gosha's wife basically kill herself? What happened to Melon's father; why did his mother lie about devouring him? I feel like that subplot should have been left alone... the horror of Melon's life felt so futile after seeing his dad living.

The conclusion to the character's interpersonal relationships felt appropriate, though. Louis won't ever be with Juno, but they remain in each other's thoughts. Haru and Legoshi are still so awkward and chaotic, as they should be. They still have a ways to go. It felt perfectly imperfect, realistic. Couldn't ask for anything more for that.
