"Ask me, that's what's done it. Looking at show-off pictures. Reading dreams. That's what started her walking down the road."

For once, I preferred the film. It's a shame, really, as I did enjoy revisiting these characters in an unfamiliar setting to the glamorous Hepburn hit, but one does wonder if Audrey just added a shine to a slightly dull story. Perhaps I would have felt differently if I hadn't seen the film first. Hey ho! You can't win them all.

The other short stories in this book just weren't enjoyable for me, sadly.

This is a horrible, racist, sexist story. Avoid at all costs.
