Beginning: Bad, but good concept
Early Middle: Pretty Bad
Late Middle: Actually very thought-provoking, thoughtful and intriguing. Really well done.
End: Bad
Firstly, the romance is badly executed. Thats a big no-no for me. The alien attack is amazingly well done. The boot camp is decent. The romance dominated the plot and was AWFUL but I really liked the aliens, the different waves, why they were here, how they were described. There were awesome ideas, but they were shrouded in subpar romance scenes. I did enjoy this book, don’t get me wrong- it honestly has a lot going for it- but it was hard to get past the pretty lame and cheesy beginning and the bad romance.
It’s decent- that’s the best I can do.
