No Money Down is a novella and the prequel to the Lexi Carmichael Mystery Series.
I liked being able to 'test' out the series by reading the novella (which I won in a Facebook contest).
I was hooked in reading the first few pages. The characters are fun and well-developed, and the story was full of dialogue, sarcasm, action, and even some life-and-death situations and a little love interest.
I recommend No Money Down and look forward to reading the rest of this series.

I love Lexi with all her quirks. She’s a very relatable geek girl who hasn’t discovered her own potential fully. Take the adventure.

If you haven’t read a Lexi Carmichael Mystery, you need to and this book is a great place to start! Lexi is a “geek”, but the best kind of “geek”. She’s a computer nerd that works for the NSA. Lexi and her best friend Basia go on vacation and end up meeting the most interesting and quirky characters that you can’t help but enjoy the story. The best part is while meeting all these interesting characters, there is a mystery brewing.
Enjoy the ride with this one! I absolutely loved the story and the characters! I highly recommend this book.
Julie Moffett has done an excellent job in telling a story that is not only quirky, but fun to read! Julie makes being a “geek” or “nerd”, and I am not being derogatory here, very cool!
Can’t wait to read more of this series!

This is a funny cozy mystery in the style of Stephanie Plum (Janet Evanovich) only goofier or maybe geekier. I've read the first three or four and they are good light reads with a lot of humor, some travel, kind of a pastiche intrigue. Good beach reading.
