This was honestly an amazing and wholesome book. The metaphors Thich Nhat Hanh uses in this book really connects you to the world around us and it really puts you in the present moment. One thing that I loved is how much little mantras he provides that really puts you into the mindset of keeping you grounded.
I have arrived. I am home.
In the here and in the now.
I am solid. I am free.
In the ultimate I dwell.
This little poem was one of my absolute favorites and I find that when I worry too much about the past or future I recite it whenever I feel the need to ground my mind. A great way to stay even more grounded I found is to use this poem to connect to your surroundings in the present moment. For example, I have arrived in my garden resting in my home; amongst the flowers here lying under the sun right now.

I have read more books by Thich Nhat Hanh than I can count. He is a Buddist Monk, and he speaks to my soul. This is a tiny book, only about 150 pages, but it talks about being in the present and how to appreciate exactly where you are in your life. His words tend to flow over me like calming waters and I often turn to his books in times of anxiety and stress.
