I wasn’t sure about this one at first but pages 50-70 is about where I started getting more into it. I’m not usually into immediate smutty behavior/comments but given the nature of the characters I suppose it makes sense. However, as time went on the amount of smut in this book started to get extremely annoying. There quite literally was some form of sex scene like every 10 pages and it was so unnecessary. I usually DNF books like that but I enjoyed the plot. It was interesting and included some suspense.

Personally, I think this could’ve been turned into something crazy cool. If there had been some more depth, world / character building, a way more detailed ending, a little more suspense during action moments etc.

Consent? This book hasn't heard of it. It hasn't heard of plot either, this is just almost entirely smut. That's not necessarily a bad thing if that's what you're looking for, but I wasn't aware heading into the book so page 5 or 6 being smutty was definitely surprising. The smut isn't bad (although it is absolutely wild), but it is literally every page. There is only a semblance of plot once you get to part 3, but even then calling it plot is a stretch. Also, we get that they have a "long and complicated history". "Later I'll think about..." and the constant questions Mina was asking herself did get on my nerves. I understand that these were originally sold as separate books, but I do not need a summary of what happened on the last page. This is a glorified Wattpad fan fiction without an actual fandom to be based on, but if that floats your boat no judgment, go for it.

Mina, a dhampir, is sent by her father to marry and be impregnated by a bloodline vampire, after coming (literally) to an understanding, Malachi and Mina work together to over throw her father in this delicious spicy vampire story

I devoured this book. The spice came in the first chapter and only got better. The story line was intriguing. Lots of Magic and violence.
Mentions of abuse and violence. Check trigger warnings.

Katee Robert is quickly becoming a fav paranormal/fantasy author.
